Why virtual workplace readiness matters right now

An organisation’s growth is defined by the speed and agility with which it can respond to changing business conditions.

Virtual workplaces are today’s reality and it’s imperative that organisations get the new ways of working, where employees are collaborating virtually through seamless digital workplaces, right.

Ensuring productivity encompasses everything from enriching employee experiences to seamless collaboration through robust, secure platforms. And enabling employee-centric workplaces and solutions that assure safety at or during work will help enterprise instil psychological and physical wellbeing.

A recent survey of Indian Enterprises by Tata Communications validates this with insights from select key industries where we analysed the ‘recoverability’ of the industry from factors that affect global economies as well as their own operations.

It is a clear imperative that all organisations take proactive steps to evaluate their workplace readiness and initiate active steps for a faster digital transformation journey towards the new normal.

Business continuity: Which industries will bounce back fastest post-COVID-19?

X-axis denotes the estimated bouncing back ability of the industries within the financial year, for example, turnaround for automobile industry will depend upon the economic stability, which is estimated to remain unstable at least in this FY and hence classified as “Low ability”

Y-axis Y-axis denotes the immediate business continuity impact on the industries amid lockdown and stricter Government regulation, for example, airline industry impact assessed to be “high” owing to a halt of global passenger aviation
